Angela is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Canadian Certified Counsellor providing individual, couples and family therapy to youth (16+) and adults. She specializes in treating emotion regulation, trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), first responders, couples, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, depression, single parenting and life transitions.
Angela holds a Master of Education (Counselling Psychology) and Bachelor of Police Studies from Memorial University, and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology major, English Minor) from Acadia University. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) for couples and individuals, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), and Gottman Method and Relational Therapy for Couples.
Angela is a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), and has 15 years of prior policing experience. She is registered to practice in Newfoundland and Labrador, and British Columbia.
