Rick is a Registered Social Worker providing individual, couples and family therapy to adults in St. John’s, NL.
He specializes in the areas of couples and relationship therapy, sex therapy, sexual health, sexual identity, out-of-control sexual behaviours (i.e. sex and pornography addiction, preoccupation with masturbation, multiple infidelities, sex with anonymous partners or sex workers, sexual risk-taking).
Rick has experience working with alternative relationship structures (i.e. consensual non-monogamy, open relationships, polyamory, mixed orientation).
Rick attended Memorial University and obtained Bachelor’s Degrees in Social Work and Sociology, a Certificate in Criminology and a Master of Social Work with a focus in clinical therapy and leadership.
He is intensively trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Sex Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT).
Rick regularly takes part in ongoing education and training to provide the most current evidence-based therapy practices.
